Coach States is currently the Head Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at Maine South High School in Park Ridge, IL. Coach States' has coached for 18 years at the high school level. Coach States was a finalist for Illinois State High School Soccer Association Boys Soccer Coach of the Year in 1996 and has twice been awarded Illinois Sectional Coach of the Year and ESCC Coach of the Year. He also served two years as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at North Central College in Naperville. In addition, Coach States holds a National Diploma with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and also holds two Youth Licenses with the Royal Netherlands Football Association. He played soccer at Naperville Central High School and Iowa State University, where he was an All-Big 8 goalkeeper. Coach States has a BA in Political Science and History and an MA in International Relations. Mr. States is a Social Science teacher at Maine South.
